Can I refinance my car with another bank?
Folgaz asked:
My fiancee and I got a new car a couple weeks ago. With her credit, I believe she should have gotten a better interest rate. Can we refinance the car with another bank and get a lower rate? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to but it might cost a fee to switch over. Call the bank or credit union to see what their rate is and see if you can move the loan. Car dealerships are great about selling you their loans which are normally not the best rate.

Depending on which bank u go to, but most bank will love the chances to buy your loan form another bank. If u can’t refinance with another bank u can get a new lone to pay off your old one, and have a new loan with a new bank and u may have a lower rate if the new bank is offering them. Hope this helps

They will refinance it as a used car. You will have to put money down, and carry a higher interest rate. Once the title is moved from the dealer, the car is used.
Sorry, you are SOL.

The sooner you refinance the better. That way the interest you are paying is on the new loan not the old one. Go to a local credit union if you’re a member and then a broker. I work for one. They can take your application and send it to the major lenders. It’s like Lending Tree but for cars.
