Can I get an car loan with bad credit?

You could go to lending tree and try to get a good loan from them. Since you have 2000 to put down that is good, it shows the dealers that you are serious about buying a car. Also it depends on what you make. You will probably need to make about 20,000 a year to get a 15,000 car. And they will also take into account that you have another active car loan, this might hurt you, unless you make over 20 grand a year and you have a long time secure job. Also unless you have a cosigner, expect to pay a higher interest rate. If you keep up the payments they might consider dropping the rate later on in about a year or so. I know some people that used HSBC Auto Fiance, and they had bad credit that they recently repaired. I wish you the best of luck.

There Are Alternatives to Bankruptcy
You probably will need at least half down with poor credit and will get a 20+APR. Until you pay off other car that does not matter in getting new financing unless you wait until it is paid. After 18 months to 2 years with making payment on time you can refinance maybe to a primary lender if you pay other bills on time from now on. Good luck. It is hard to have perfect credit with Busch putting us in recession.
